QNAP introduced Network Attached Storage (NAS) TVS-x73e series. The device is targeted at small and medium businesses. 3 members comprise this family, TVS-473e, TVS-673e, and TVS-873e, which support 4, 6, and 8 drives correspondingly. Standard hard drives and their 3.5- and 2.5-inch solid state alternatives with SATA 3.0 interface can be used. The devices support hot swap (replacing drives with the device still being connected).
QNAP TVS-x73e family is equipped with AMD R-Series RX-421BD quad-core processor with working frequency of 2,1GHz or 3,4GHz in turbo mode. Additionally, devices contain Radeon R7 graphics chip and from 4 to 8GB DDR4 RAM (expandable up to 64GB). Apart from the main HDD slots, these NAS systems have 2 M.2 2260/2280 slots for additional SSDs and two PCIe 3.0 x4, which may, for example, house 10GbE LAN cards. Standard network connectivity, however, is there, Gigabit Ethernet. There are 4 Ethernet ports, 4 USB 3.0 (one of them is located on the frontal panel), 2 HDMI 1.4b, and 3,5mm audio jack.
This solution greatly surpasses the usual NAS configuration and can be compared to a storage server. Together with an updated operating system, this solution will be your reliable companion for years to come. London business IT support, Bits and PCs, can assist you with the implementation of such solution in your workplace.
